It's the tooth, nothing but the tooth

I have the most wonderful dentist. He’s gentle and quite attractive – even from an upside angle looking up at his nostrils. He’s also very kind and forever apologising, even when he’s trying to make you more comfortable in the chair. And you never feel a thing.

So why do I dread seeing him?

A friend of mine bought some herbal tablets to improve her memory. Daft as it seems, she keeps forgetting to take them.

It makes you think though. I mean how many of us (of a certain age) have run up the stairs to fetch something and promptly forgotten what it was we went up for?

Now I realise this isn’t something people usually throw into everyday conversation – especially at the dinner table – so it did come as a little bit of a surprise when my friend posed the question just as we were finishing our mushroom chop suey.
